Chereen Tew set up a personal “Malaysian and International Wildlife Protection” organization, spreading public awareness about the danger in consuming shark’s fins and saying No to Sharks.

Many people are still not aware that every year, a large number of sharks are killed just for their fins, to be served as a delicacy and a dish to promote status. People are not aware that these sharks are caught alive, have their fins and tails chopped off and then thrown back into the sea to slowly drown or to be eaten alive by other sea creatures, a slow and painful death.
